WHO WE ARE
Tele Sarasaviya is the first ever Synchronous Live Education Shuttle in Sri Lanka in which students across country (from grade 05 scholarship to GCE O/L to GCE A/L) have equal access to high quality and popular tuition masters to receive high quality education to successfully face highly competitive national examinations.
Even though country’s education is freely offered at government schools, many communities and villages especially in rural parts of Sri Lanka, do not get quality education and educational facilities thus preventing them from getting high results from highly competitive national examinations. Results of highly competitive national examination (eg: Grade 5 Scholarship, GCE O/Ls, and A/Ls) over last 10 years have shown that students from urban cities (or those who can afford to access to urban areas from peripheries) have received better results than those living and studying in peripheries. Girls are hard hit since transport to urban regions involving hours or days and they are often discouraged to undertake this ordeal.
WHAT WE DO
High quality education often comes with high cost, often challenging poverty-stricken families to afford. To overcome all these barriers involving quality education, Tele Sarasaviya intends to provide equal access to so that they can be connected to an educational platform powered by satellite technology and host of other technologies which are made available nowadays in every nook and corner of Sri Lanka. Thanks to Tele Sarasaviya thousands of students are now able to interact with urban and high-quality teachers and educational materials without having to travel to urban cities.
